Over the past days, a bunch of new trailers and game footage for upcoming games have been released. There is a teaser trailer for Borderlands 2, new multiplayer footage from Battlefield 3, a cinematic trailer for DotA2, and a combat trailer from Mass Effect 3. Yeah, there are a lot of sequels.
The very short teaser trailer for Borderlands shows off Salvador the "Gunzerker" dual-wielding guns. There's not much in the trailer, but it does do a good job at building hype and interest. I'm definitely curious as to how any other character will compete with dual wielded guns.
The new footage from Battlefield 3 is taken from a multiplayer match on the Caspian Border map. You'll see a lot of vehicular combat both on land and in the air, plus a good amount of normal, non-vehicular combat. There is also a great moment with a small robot/drone which I won't spoil.
The trailer for DotA2 is impressive, and likely done in-house by Valve like the "Meet the Class" videos and the Portal 2 commercial. The trailer is narrated by the shopkeeper/merchant in DotA2 and briefly showcases the strong, agile, and intelligent class archetypes in combat. I'm not really very interested in the game yet; it looks almost like a direct remake of the Warcraft 3 map which I have not enjoyed in a very long time. But maybe my mind will be changed as more information is revealed.
Finally, a new trailer for Mass Effect 3 was released showing Shepard commanding his squad (Garrus and Liara) during combat. Many of the standard abilities are used, but a few new abilities are shown, such as a melee attack with the Omni-Tool and some sort of grenade.
