Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII Reviewed: Great RPGs

My dual reviews of Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII, two great retro RPGs available as a bundle. Cthulhu, which was developed second, is undoubtedly the better game, but Breath of Death is worth playing too.

Tech Tales
The Steam Trading feature is now out of beta after about a month. Steam gifts and items from Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, and Spiral Knights can now be traded directly through Steam. Valve is working on adding inventory and trading support to other 3rd-party games as well. Any tradable item(s) can be traded for any other tradable item(s): gifts for TF2 items, TF2 items for Spiral Knights items, etc.

Some of these types of trades were already being done unofficially, so it's good that Valve has created an official system. People will no longer have to rely on intermediaries, honor systems, and 3rd-party websites. Scams will be less common, or at least less successful, and any victims will have more effective means of recourse.

I opted into the beta back in August, and I've used it a few times already for Team Fortress 2 trades. In general, the trading works great. The interface is simple and easy-to-use, although the organization of items (in TF2 at least) could definitely use some work. Items seem to be sorted by date acquired, which might make sense in other contexts, but for TF2 I would prefer being able to sort items by type, class, rarity, etc.

Anything that allows me to potentially unload TF2 hats (or crates!) for actual games is a great feature in my mind. If you're interested in using the new trading feature, make sure to read the trading FAQ. You can also take a look at my inventory, though at the moment only items are visible to the public.
